TOOLS for various purposes that I made

Valve spring compressor, can be used to replace valve springs, retainers, locks... without pulling the engine. Requires a spark plug hole adapter to feed the cylinder with compressed air, to prevent the valve from opening.

Engine test bench for aircooled VW's.

a square tube frame welded on rolling chassis, using a late model VW Bus transmission clutch bellhousing to bolt the engine onto. The bellhousing has a flat backside and plenty of factory bolt holes for secure mounting to the steel frame. The engine needs no other support and can be run on the stand. Control panel has switches for main power (panic switch off), instrument power, and starter. It currently has a big tach, oil pressure gauge, voltmeter, and oil pressure warning light. Audible oil pressure buzzer is on it's way. Just need to make a voltage drop for it. (Plays an annoying, loud melody...lol) The gas canister has a place for it under the instrument panel. There's also a place for the battery. The whole thing can be rolled around where you want it to go, it is fully independent. I built the garage and this stand so I can push the whole deal, WITH the engine attached, under a workbench, out of the way. More modificatiosn will follow later, such as vacuum gauge(s), fuel pressure gauge, mixture gauge etc. Those are currently not mounted permanently on it. (But I use them all when building and tuning engines).
